Recap: Edgewood Red Wolves vs. Rockledge Raiders
The Edgewood Red Wolves suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 87-30 loss at the hands of Rockledge. Edgewood has struggled against Rockledge recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Edgewood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden Wasdin, who scored five points along with four steals and four blocks. That's the first time this season that Wasdin posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Snyder, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Edgewood's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10. As for Rockledge, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will take on Calvary Chapel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Calvary Chapel Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 back in December of 2023. Rockledge won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Master's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 13th. Master's Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
