Volleyball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Beats St. Teresa's Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

St. Michael the Archangel had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Teresa's Academy Stars. The Guardians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stars, too.

St. Michael the Archangel not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Teresa's Academy between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.

St. Michael the Archangel was led to victory by Bella Roccaro and Bokenkroger Molly. Roccaro had 23 digs, while Molly had 12 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs gave Roccaro a new career-high. Kinley Gillihan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

St. Michael the Archangel's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michael the Archangel will host Saint Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Incarnate Word Academy at 9:30 a.m.
