Elkton won the last time they faced Joppatowne, and Syanni Benson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Elkton Golden Elks managed a 46-40 win over the Joppatowne Mariners on Friday thanks in part to Benson, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high.

Elkton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14. As for Joppatowne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
