Softball Recap: Del Norte's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Del Norte came into Monday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Mira Mesa Marauders 5-4 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Nighthawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alexis Kyles was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lainey LLamas, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Del Norte lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Del Norte's victory bumped their record up to 7-8-1. As for Mira Mesa, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Del Norte has already played their next contest (against Mt. Carmel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mira Mesa, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-4 win against Grossmont on the 1st.
