Swain County had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Blue Ridge Early College on Thursday. The Maroon Devils put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 9-0 victory. Considering Swain County have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Blue Ridge Early College from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Mya Burrows-Kurr led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Swain County pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
