            Caldera will challenge the South Eugene Axe at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Caldera has three straight  victories, South Eugene has five straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Caldera's  win against Summit wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Caldera skirted past Summit  15-14.
The team  relied heavily on  Annabelle Cox, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Danika Hollibaugh, who  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Caldera  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They are 11-3 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Meanwhile, South Eugene fell victim to Sheldon and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They lost  10-0 to the Irish. That's two games in a row now that the Axe have lost by  exactly ten  runs.
 South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Caldera,  the  victory  got them back to even at 12-12.
