Volleyball Recap: Immanuel Baptist Takes a Loss

Immanuel Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faith Baptist Eagle. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fire of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Immanuel Baptist was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Faith Baptist work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 20-25, 16-25, 26-24, 15-8.

Immanuel Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Faith Baptist, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Immanuel Baptist will face off against rival Fostoria Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Faith Baptist is set to take on their familiar foe State Line Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
