Football Recap: Poway Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Poway dropped to 3-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. The contest between the Titans and the Torrey Pines Falcons didn't end well, with the Titans falling 40-22. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Poway lost, don't look at Luke Jorgensen. Despite the final result, he rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown.

As for Torrey Pines, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 5.88 yards per carry in those games compared to only 1.93 in the others.

Dominic Rocha had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 91 yards and three scores. Another player making a difference was Logan Bonneau, who rushed for 65 yards and one TD.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poway will host Del Norte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Torrey Pines, they will be playing at home against Mission Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
