Basketball Recap: Devante Rhodes and Sterlin Lewis Secure Win for Perry Meridian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Palestine, Perry Meridian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They secured a 52-47 W over the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 50-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Perry Meridian was led to victory by Sterlin Lewis and Devante Rhodes. Lewis went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points, while Rhodes went 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points. The dominant performance gave Rhodes a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Braydon Hohlt, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Indianapolis Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cayden Loescher, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 10 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Koomler, who scored nine points.

Perry Meridian picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-14. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Perry Meridian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-30 defeat against Franklin Community on the 14th. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they have also already played their next game, a 73-56 loss against Covenant Christian on the 13th.
