Volleyball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coronado can now relate to. They came up short against the Santa Margarita Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Santa Margarita scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Coronado's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 34-9. As for Santa Margarita, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-10.

As of now, neither Coronado nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
