Baseball Recap: Blackstone Valley Prep Comes Up Short

Blackstone Valley Prep lost against Mt. Pleasant back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The PRIDE fell just short of the Kilties by a score of 5-4.

Blackstone Valley Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Torres, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Noah Ferreira, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Blackstone Valley Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Blackstone Valley Prep will square off against rival North Smithfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant is set to face off against their familiar foe Classical at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
