Basketball Recap: Grand Haven Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Grand Haven, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Holt Rams 52-50. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Rams are ranked 148th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grand Haven is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. Holt is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Grand Haven will challenge Tournament Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holt, they will welcome Everett at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
