Given Hattiesburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Pearl River Central is ranked 170th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Stephen McCullon Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with three steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. Christian Moody was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Hattiesburg's win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for Pearl River Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
