Baseball Recap: Narragansett Comes Up Short

Narragansett fell victim to North Providence and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0. The Mariners just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Narragansett saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Hohl, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Narragansett's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Providence, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Narragansett will host Scituate at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Providence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Burrillville at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
