Recap: Concord Raiders vs. Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles
The Concord Raiders lost against the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Concord fell 45-38 to Hodgson Vo-Tech. Concord has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hodgson Vo-Tech found their leader in underclassman Hope Smith, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Sanaa Saunders young was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will challenge Mount Pleasant at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Mount Pleasant is ranked 34th, while Concord is ranked 36th). As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge Brandywine at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
