Softball Recap: Northwest Makes It 14 in a Row on the Road

Northwest won against Orrick last Saturday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Everything went the Mustangs' way against the Versailles Tigers as they made off with a 13-7 win. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Northwest pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.9 runs over those games. As for Versailles, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4.

Northwest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Kingsville on the 1st. As for Versailles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-2 win against Cole Camp on the 2nd.
