Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nardin Academy). They were the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over the Williamsville East Flames on Friday. The Gators pushed the score to 48-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Flames had little chance of recovering from.
Nardin Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Braun out in front who posted five points in addition to 13 boards and eight steals. Nardin Academy is undefeated when Braun posts three or more steals, but 5-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Krupski, who scored 22 points.
Nardin Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 35 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Nardin Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games.
