Basketball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

If Franklin County was feeling good fresh off their 59-34 takedown of Liberty County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Franklin County Seahawks took a blow against the Mosley Dolphins on Friday, falling 56-23. The matchup marked the Seahawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mosley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Mcfatter, who posted 14 points and three steals. Mcfatter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Smith, who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Franklin County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Mosley, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Franklin County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-37 defeat against Chipley on the 1st. As for Mosley, they will challenge Choctawhatchee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mosley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
