Basketball Recap: Desert Edge Skates Past Desert View with Ease

Desert Edge picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 52-18 win over the Desert View Jaguars. The matchup marked the Scorpions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Leading Desert Edge to victory were CJ Johnson and Mehki Storkel. Johnson made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points, while Storkel posted ten points and seven boards. Storkel is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Brandon Williams was another key player, putting up seven points.

Desert View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nathanael Durazo, who put up three points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Damien Borquez, who had four points and seven boards.
