Soccer Game Preview: North vs. Torrance

The North Saxons will venture away from home to face off against the Torrance Tartars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

North is headed into Monday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since December 5. Neither they nor Wiseburn- Da Vinci could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Torrance came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. Given Torrance's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while West are ranked 208th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North's draw gives them a new season record of 5-7-2. As for Torrance, their record is now 14-3.
