Basketball Recap: Plainfield Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Plainfield had won seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 2-0 to make it eight. They managed a 60-54 victory over the Brownsburg Bulldogs. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Quakers were the better team in the second half.

Plainfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hannah Menser out in front who shot 53% from the field on her way to 20 points and seven boards. Menser's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Bryleigh Todd, who posted 16 points and seven rebounds.

As for Brownsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. They haven't had much luck with Plainfield recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabbi Harvey, who went 9-for-17 en route to 20 points and six boards. Elle Mcculloch was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven rebounds.

Plainfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-39 victory against Danville on the 14th. As for Brownsburg, they have also already played their next game, a 46-44 win against Ben Davis on the 15th.
