Softball Recap: Random Lake's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Random Lake won the last time they faced Oostburg and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rams blew past the Flying Dutchmen 14-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

The win (which was Random Lake's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Oostburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Random Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Howards Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oostburg, they will head out to face off against Sheboygan Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.47 runs per game on average), something the Flying Dutchmen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
