Jones scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 75-50 to the Southside Seahawks. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row.

Southside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Armstrong out in front who went 5 of 7 to rack up 15 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Armstrong is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zymere Wiggins, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Southside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

While Jones had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
