Softball Recap: Rock Ridge Takes a Loss

Rock Ridge fell victim to Heritage and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Pride, falling 15-0. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Pride recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Rock Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sahasra Abbineni, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Rock Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Rock Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they will head out to take on Loudoun Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pride's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
