Football Game Preview: Twin River Titans vs. Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs

The Twin River Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twin River has given up an average of 38.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Twin River is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Madison on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Titans lost 52-26 to the Dragons. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Colsten Rodriguez, who threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries. 110 of Rodriguez's passing yards were hauled in by Braedyn Ramaekers, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, Humphrey-Lindsay had to suffer through a 78-30 loss at the hands of David City. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Twin River will have to contain Cash Hastreiter as he made an impact in Humphrey-Lindsay's last game. He rushed for 89 yards and one TD, and also caught one touchdown. Hastreiter also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles.

Humphrey-Lindsay now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Twin River, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Twin River against Humphrey-Lindsay in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
