Basketball Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Anna-Jonesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 58-46 to the Frankfort Redbirds. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-34 back in January.

Anna-Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Frankfort, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anna-Jonesboro will challenge Vienna at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Vienna knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Anna-Jonesboro likes a good challenge. Frankfort has already played their next match (against Century), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
