Basketball Game Preview: Moses Lake Mavericks vs. Eisenhower Cadets

The Moses Lake Mavericks are taking a road trip to take on the Eisenhower Cadets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Moses Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

On Friday, Moses Lake ended up a good deal behind West Valley and lost 74-56. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Rams are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, Eisenhower was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 61-57 to Sunnyside. The Cadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Moses Lake, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.

Moses Lake strolled past Eisenhower when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 85-71. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moses Lake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
