Baseball Game Preview: North Jackson Chiefs vs. Madison County Tigers

For the second straight game, North Jackson will face off against Madison County. The Chiefs will head out to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Jackson is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, North Jackson didn't have quite enough to beat Madison County and fell 3-2.

Brayden Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, North Jackson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bodie Burnette, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Madison County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
