Baseball Recap: Hayesville Has No Trouble Against Robbinsville

While Hayesville put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Robbinsville. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Black Knights. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Black Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Hayesville got a massive performance out of Jackson Sellers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Sellers has posted since back in April of 2024. Michael Mauney was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Hayesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hayesville's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Robbinsville, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Coming up, Hayesville will take on Murphy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
