Volleyball Game Preview: Lone Peak Knights vs. Lehi Pioneers

The Lone Peak Knights will face off against the Lehi Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Peak will be strutting in after a victory while Lehi will be coming in after a loss.

Lone Peak is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Pleasant Grove, who was ranked 16th at the time (Lone Peak was ranked seventh). The Knights came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

While Lone Peak might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pleasant Grove scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 20-25, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Lehi didn't have quite enough to beat Westlake on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Pioneers have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Lehi wouldn't go down easily and took Westlake into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 18-25, 21-25, 15-9.

Lehi's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Lone Peak, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.
