Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North River Christian walked away with it. They walked away with a 44-32 win over the Sparta Academy Warriors on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Chargers who have now won five contests in a row.

Sparta Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carly Gauna, who posted 13 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high. Kaitlyn Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points.

North River Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Sparta Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
