Volleyball Recap: Holy Family Wins Going Away Against Evergreen

Holy Family won the last time they faced Evergreen and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-8, 25-19.

Caroline Staff was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had nine digs and five aces. What's more, she posted five assists, the most she's had over her last six matches. Kate Fisher was another key player, getting five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Holy Family was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive contests.

Holy Family's record now sits at 8-14. As for Evergreen, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Coincidentally, Holy Family and Evergreen will both be playing The Classical Academy the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Titans at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
