For the second straight game, Cascade will face off against Greencastle. The Cadets will take on the Tiger Cubs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cascade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

While Cascade's win against Greencastle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cadets never let the Tiger Cubs get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Cadets have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The result came thanks to Lacie Godby's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cascade's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Gibbs, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Greencastle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cascade has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Greencastle struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
