Softball Game Preview: Chandler Wolves vs. Notre Dame Prep Saints

The Chandler Wolves will head out to challenge the Notre Dame Prep Saints at 10:45 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Chandler's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Estrella Foothills as Chandler made off with a 25-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chandler.

Lily Eaton looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Chandler got a massive performance out of Lily Kolsrud, who fired off three triples, four runs, and three RBI while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Aminae Obichere, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI.

Chandler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Estrella Foothills only posted an OBP of .182.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep got the win against Show Low on Thursday by a conclusive 9-0.

The team relied heavily on Sammy Swords, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophia Perez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Notre Dame Prep now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chandler, their record now sits at 2-0.

Everything went Chandler's way against Notre Dame Prep in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Chandler made off with a 9-0 victory. Will Chandler repeat their success, or does Notre Dame Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
