             On Friday, Roswell faced Gainesville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Roswell Hornets had just enough and edged the Gainesville Red Elephants out  48-45. The  win was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on six straight.
  Trey Smith was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 93 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 251 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. He is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Synkwan Smith, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
 Roswell was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 220  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 219  rushing yards in six consecutive  matches.
 Roswell pushed their record up to 8-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Gainesville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
 Roswell will square off against Milton at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Roswell's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  in their last six matchups. Gainesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
