Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Port St. Joe had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Gators 8-6. Winning may never get old, but the Tiger Sharks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Port St. Joe let Addy Silcox and Elli Newman run wild. Silcox went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run, while Newman went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two doubles gave Silcox a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annie Gainer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Franklin County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328.
