Cody Cooper posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out two batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances.

Cooper's strong effort led Queen Creek over Desert Ridge and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
