Baseball Recap: Milledgeville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Polo

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milledgeville). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Polo Marcos on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Missiles with their most commanding win of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Milledgeville and bumps their season record up to 9-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Polo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Milledgeville will face off against Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Missiles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. Polo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
