Baseball Recap: Providence School Comes Up Short

Providence School fell victim to Trinity Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors, falling 10-0. The Stallions haven't had much luck with the Conquerors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Providence School got a good showing from JJ Matuson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Matuson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Providence School's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Providence School will be playing in front of their home fans against Bartram Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Trinity Christian Academy 2.2, Jesuit 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
