Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to the West Jessamine Colts. The Flyers haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Franklin County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Traycen Scott, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Scott also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for West Jessamine, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will take on North Oldham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Jessamine, they will challenge Henry Clay at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
