Basketball Preview: Clover Park Timberwolves vs. Orting Cardinals
After two games on the road, Clover Park is heading back home. They will take on the Orting Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Clover Park took a serious blow against the Hornets, falling 66-27. Clover Park has struggled against the Hornets recently, as their game on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Kamila Salanoa, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mekaia Williams, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Orting's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Steilacoom 60-16.
Clover Park's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Orting, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
