Soccer Recap: Millbrook Takes a Loss

If Millbrook was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Knightdale on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wake Forest Cougars who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Wake Forest Cougars got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Millbrook Wildcats' two. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Wake Forest this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat last Wednesday.

Millbrook's goal came courtesy of Vella Habets, who's now up to two this season.

Millbrook's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-4. As for Wake Forest, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-1-5.

Millbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wake Forest, they will face off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Wake Forest's offense will have their work cut out for them.
