Lincoln-Way West put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Coffee Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 4, 2024.

Alex Macias looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Conor Essenburg was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Michael Pettit, who went 1-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
