With a playoff win on the line, Holcomb rose to the challenge on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Southwestern Heights Mustangs. The victory was familiar territory for the Longhorns, who have now won 16 matches in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Holcomb took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15.

Makayla Tolbert paced Holcomb's offense, picking up six kills. Tolbert got some help from Bella Galliart and her 11 assists. Galliart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Holcomb's win bumped their record up to 35-4. As for Southwestern Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 17-16.

Holcomb does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwestern Heights, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Russell on the 20th.
