Soccer Game Preview: George Washington vs. Ponderosa

The George Washington Patriots are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Ponderosa Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

George Washington is headed into their contest with Ponderosa looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Wheat Ridge on Thursday. George Washington and Wheat Ridge finished up their match with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Ponderosa and Littleton's game on Thursday was close at halftime, but Ponderosa turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. Ponderosa blew past Littleton 3-0. Shelbee Daffer had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Mustangs.

George Washington came up short against Ponderosa in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can George Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
