Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian Academy had taken Epiphany down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Heat fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Heat's loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Liberty Christian Academy came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 16-14.

Alleyna Morton paced Liberty Christian Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Morton got some help from Sam Hearn and her 29 assists. Abbie Smith and Hollyn Thigpen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Liberty Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Epiphany, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-14.

Coming up, Liberty Christian Academy will be playing at home against Freedom Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Epiphany, they will take on Greenfield at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
