Softball Recap: Woodstock Academy Has No Trouble Against Harvard Ellis Tech

Woodstock Academy never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Harvard Ellis Tech on Wednesday. They blew past the Eagles 13-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Centaurs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Grace Delsanto was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Woodstock Academy got a massive performance out of Avery Hardacker, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Hardacker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ellary Sampson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Woodstock Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Woodstock Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
