Recap: Coral Gables Cavaliers vs. Ferguson Falcons
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Coral Gables Cavaliers had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They strolled past the Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 61-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Coral Gables.
Coral Gables' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcellis Williams, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Williams is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Andres Paredes, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
Coral Gables is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Ferguson, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
Coral Gables will square off against Columbus at TBD on Thursday. Columbus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 24 games -- so hopefully Coral Gables likes a good challenge. Ferguson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
