Softball Recap: Petal Falls Short Against Ranked Northwest Rankin

Petal faced Northwest Rankin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Petal saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Drinkwine, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
