Baseball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Poly's Winning Streak

After flying high against Verdugo Hills last Thursday, Poly came back down to earth. The Parrots took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Venice Gondoliers on Saturday. The Parrots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gondoliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Poly moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Venice, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Poly didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against San Fernando on the 3rd. As for Venice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-0 victory against University on the 2nd.
